Quar Tank Scratchbuild

I finally started on new hobby project. I wanted to make a couple tanks for use in the Songs of Our Ancestors ruleset. I bought some styrene, which wasnt all that easy to find here in Germany, and got to work. First, this was my initial concept sketch. I based loosely off of the French Renault ft-18 tank, and went from there.

 And here is where it stands now. It is still quite rough. It needs rivets along all the seam lines and I need to add yet lots more detail but the engine exhaust in the back is largely done.

I am not looking forward so much to making the treads and track mechanisms...let alone doing it twice. (once for each side) but that is a long way off.
