Dreadfleet Complete!
Dreadfleet is done and it is the first major project that I have completely finished in quite some time. I get tired of painting minis from the same army over and over so I tend to jump around a lot when there isnt some sort of deadline I have to meet such as a tournament. Now I can finally play a game of Dreadfleet as it is meant to be played. Fully painted! Start to finish I have been working on this project for just over a month, with a couple distractions and painting roadblocks slowing progress along the way. It was a real grind to finish the Bloody Reaver and the Bone Hydra but as I have realized with all of my projects, if I finish everything except a model of two and move on, I will probably never finish those models.
On to pictures!
Here we have all of the painted piece together in one nice family photo. For those who arent really aware of this game, the game also consists of several different cards, dice, and a really nice rules/backstory book that I haven't included here.
Shipwreck terrain.
Islands. Of course, as with everything GW, there are tons of skulls.
Sea Monsters. (left to right) Leech Worm, Sea Giant, Bone Hydra. These guys occasionally pop up in games to try and ruin your day.
Next up we have the templates. While many people have painted beautifully colorful templates and tokens for the game which are super cool, I kept mine deliberately simple for two reasons. The first was simply to save me loads of time on painting the templates. The second was that I wanted to make the templates look more like tools for the game rather than part of it if that makes sense.

The Grand Alliance ready for pirate battles. (Left to right) Golden Scimitar, Seadrake, Heldenhammer, Swordfish, and Grimnir's Thunder.
And of course the Grand Alliance cogs...baby versions of the ships
The Dreadfleet and all it's undead glory. (left to right) Skabrus, Shadewraith, Bloody Reaver, Black Kraken, Curse of Zandri
Dreadfleet cogs...more baby ships(which actually if you look at how big the large ships are these are about the size of your typical sea-going vessel)
Next up are some individual shots of all the ships. If you want to see the ships in more detail check out my other posts with the label "Dreadfleet"
