Full Steam Ahead

I picked up a Federated States of America fleet for Dystopian Wars a while back because the miniatures really appealed to me. I have only played the game a handful of times and it was pretty fun. I imagine the game is a lot more tactical and diverse when you add to the starter fleets and create more unique fleets with the boatload(hehe) of other ships they have available for each faction. This is definitely a game I would like to expand on but I have a lot of other projects on my plate right now. Check out Spartan Games if you are interested in Steampunk ship warfare. They have a great range and a lot of different factions with their own unique flair. Also, each faction has a great deal of land and air based units if you also want to duke it out on dry land or high in the sky. Spartan also sells a space fleet game, a fantasy fleet game, and a Dystopian Wars 28mm miniatures game.

The starter fleet box comes with everything you see here plus all the templates, tokens, and markers you could ever want printed on plasticized card. The models were interesting to paint as they were so small  and filled with detail made possible by computer modeling. I didn't spend too much time on these guys but happy with how they turned out.

Battleship

Cruisers

Frigate. These guys are pretty small. The game covers ships as small or smaller than these frigates, all the way up to huge dreadnoughts and carriers that dwarf even the battleships.

FSA Bomber

Aeroplanes. Yellow nose are fighters, white is recon, blue are dive bombers, and red are torpedo bombers
